The mask L wears in Death Note for barely half a minute — a customer wanted a wearable version. We measured his head first, built the model from it and printed a single-colour prototype for a fitting; fit and sight openings then went back into CAD. The final print was multi-colour, and the support structures under the hair strands were broken away afterwards.
