    Family coat of arms remodeled from original painting

    The customer brought a heraldic family crest painting with a unicorn, crown and red tree. We fully remodeled it in Blender as a sculpted relief — helmet, unicorn and crosses with real depth, not a flat plaque. A concealed screw thread under the helmet handles the wall mount. Two prototypes in gold and silver for the material decision, in-person sign-off in the workshop, now mounted at the customer's home.

    A cartoon sketch became a one-of-a-kind award trophy

    The customer sent a stylized comic sketch for an internal company award. In two short briefings we sharpened the direction together: from the cartoon motif we modeled a realistic honey badger in aggressive pose on a solid two-tier base with raised embossed text. Modeled in Blender including fur texture and a broken branch under the paw, printed in gold PLA. We don't just execute — we think along proactively and suggest design improvements when we see potential.

    A customer wanted to give his friend group something you can't buy anywhere. He sent us six portrait photos — we turned each face into a small bust, sent him previews to approve, and printed all six in one run. A standard chess set became a keepsake that pulls the room into conversation every time it comes out.

    Spare part measured and remodeled — no CAD file existed

    The manufacturer stopped shipping it and the only references online were blurry photos — so we captured the original with calipers and a 3D scanner, remodeled it dimensionally accurate in Fusion 360, and reprinted it in the right material. Fit, material behavior and tolerances we align with you in person before we start. The CAD file stays on record with us — if the part breaks again in six months, we reprint the same day.

Modeling effort is one side — the print is the other. We calculate both transparently after a short brief.

    Simple brackets, adapters, tool helpers — up to ~2 h modeling. From €40: bracket or adapter with 2–3 dimensions. From €80: with internal geometry or fits. Includes one iteration round.

    Reverse engineering

    Measurement + modeling from the original. €60–80: simple spare parts (handle, bracket, cap). €150–200: gears, freeform surfaces or moving parts with fits.

    From €60: mini figure 6–8 cm with a clear frontal reference. €120–180: bust with high detail or multi-angle reference. Photo should be sharp, well-lit, min. 1000 × 1000 px.

  • What does modeling cost with you?
    Small parts flat-rate from €40 (up to ~2 h effort), reverse engineering €60–200 depending on complexity, photo-to-3D figure from €60 including modeling, STL edits €20–80. After a short brief we send an honest fixed-price estimate before we start.
  • How long does modeling take?
    Simple parts 1–2 days, complex geometries 3–7 days. Photo-to-3D figures typically 3–5 days including a preview round. We discuss timing in advance and stick to it — please allow 1 week lead time when in a hurry, plus print time.
  • Do I keep the rights to the file?
    By default the file and rights stay with us — we keep the model on record for reorders and reprint on demand. If you want the file (STL or source format in Fusion 360 STEP / Blender .blend) and the commercial rights yourself, that's always possible — mention it during the brief and we'll factor it transparently into the quote.
  • Which file formats do you accept as input?
    Whatever you bring — a photo, PDF drawing, pencil sketch, or an old part to measure. We also start from zero if you only have a description or an idea. If you already own a 3D file, we accept all common formats (STL, STEP, OBJ, 3MF, plus CAD formats for further editing).
  • Are small iterations included?
    Yes — after the first draft, 1–2 small tweaks (size, lettering, detail, minor shape corrections) are included. Larger rebuilds (completely different shape, new function) we estimate separately upfront so it stays fair.
  • What are the photo requirements for the photo-to-3D service?
    For mini figures and busts: frontal shot, good light, face not obstructed, at least 1000×1000 pixels. A second side photo helps with head shape. For lithophane (photo as relief) a high-resolution portrait is enough. We review the input in advance and tell you if it's good enough.
  • Do you also model confidentially under NDA?
    Yes. For product development, prototypes, competitively sensitive parts we sign the NDA before file or sketch handover. No showing in gallery or social media without release. For business customers that's standard, see also the B2B page.
  • Do you have references — what have you modeled before?
